The duties of this position include:

• Processing complex service orders which includes the following – Centrex, ISDN, VoIP, HVAD, Cross Network VoIP, Wats, Coins, PRI’s, etc

• Analyzing/clearing complex trouble reports

• Processing Complex Wireless/Wireline number porting service orders and Type 1 Migration request

• Process ORMOD / ORCAN requests for Complex services

• Processing Cutovers / Coordinated Hot Cuts

• Researching network element documentation to determine / test / document programming information on new features, products and equipment

• Provide Software Engineers with network element information needed for APS (Auto Provisioning System)

•  Voicemail administration which includes voicemail conversions, addition of lines / trunks / bulletin board applications / auto attendant, and maintaining the integrity of the system

• Second level of support for Tier II SAG

•  Train Service Center / Service Activation Coordinator as needed with new network element functionality

• Plan / Develop / Create lay-out of Service Activation / Network Element Information on ASAG (This includes exchange sheets, key sheets, process documentation, system documentation, training documentation, etc.)

• ILEC Central office conversion activity

• NPA / NNX Split / Overlay activity

• Process Switch / MIROR Compares

• Participate in managing Acquisitions to include NPA / NNX mapping, ASOC mapping, data gathering, documentation, training for Service Activation / Assignment / Service Center.

• Updating the various network elements including but not limited to the following:  Metaswitch (CFS), Broadsoft, GTD5, 5ESS, DCO, EWSD, DMS100, DMS10, C15, Glenayre VM, Centigram VM, Metasphere (EAS), APAC VM, Digital Speech, Octel VM, Meridian VM, Cognitronics AIS, Science Dynamics AIS, McIas AIS, 17A AIS, Autocron AIS, Digicept Emcee AIS, ETC Digicept AIS, Neustar SOA

  • Also includes interacting and providing 24 x 7 technical support to Field technicians, Network Technicians, Service Delivery, Customer Experience Center, vendors, Contractors, Product Marketing, Facility Provisioners, Central Office Engineering, Translations, Assignment, Service Center, LSPAC and customers to ensure customer satisfaction and to meet scheduled due dates.
  • This employee will utilize the following systems: CAMS, DCRIS, Wincare, BPMS, MIROR, Remedy, Neustar SOA, Task Manager, Data Cannon and various network elements.  This position will be required to perform these duties in any ILEC area across the corporation.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements: Associate Degree in a technical discipline and 4-6 years technical/telephony experience with 4+ years directly related to the job; or 7+ years of directly related telephony or network operations experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience required.
