Job Description

Management of all OSP Work Orders from Engineering to completion of construction. Resolves any construction issues, ensures all necessary permits/easements are obtained and filed, when necessary, prior to construction. These include private, federal, state, local, railroad, Corp of Engineers, levee district, etc.

Reviews and actively manages work schedules. Coordinates construction of facilities with other utilities and governmental agencies. directs, monitors and manages all work orders after engineering complete. Ensures time lines are met for all commitments such as service dates, government dates, forecast dates and closing objectives.

Is the designated point of contact for construction questions/issues from other Windstream departments, utilities, governmental agencies and from the public 
Verifies that the Construction Contractor is in compliance of all issues related to:

A. OSHA : http://www.osha.gov/
B. NESC : http://standards.ieee.org/nesc/
C. Windstream practices : http://internal.windstream.com/on_job/nsg/
D. RUS : http://www.usda.gov/rus/telecom/publications/publications.htm
E. FHA : http://www.fhwa.dot.gov/ (FHA safety regulations for work done in a construction zone of a public R/W).
F. EPA : http://www.epa.gov/
G. Any other local or state safety requirement.

Conducts in-progress and final inspections of construction work to ensure compliance with the work order and contract units. Buried, aerial and underground inspection forms are provided and should be used for this function.

Completes job close out jointly with coordinators which includes:
1. Verifying as built information to invoices.
2. Review all account coding for accuracy.
3. Verifying information for CAD posting.
4. Posting dates in Jobtrac Includes construction complete, invoice complete
5. Reconcile the CLEC Work Orders. 
6. Fill out a Change Order form for the CLEC projects where the units and or quantities have changed.
7. Prepare to close out CLEC Work Order’s in JobTrac making sure of the following: 
    a.Planned Construction Complete Date is correct.
    b.Field Close Star Date is correct
    c.Actual Completion Date is correct

8 .Scan the complete Work Order package (includes all dailies, change orders, contractor inspection sign off sheet, splicing documentation and redlines) 

ILEC – Project Management
1. Reconcile the CLEC Work Orders. 
2. Fill out a Change Order form for the CLEC projects where the units and or quantities have changed.
3. Prepare to close out CLEC Work Order’s in JobTrac making sure of the following: 
    a.Planned Construction Complete Date is correct.
    b.Field Close Star Date is correct
    c.Actual Completion Date is correct

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements: 

College degree in Engineering or a related field and 2-4 years professional level experience; or 6+ years professional level related Engineering/Technical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Engineering/Technical experience required.
