Position Summary 


Position is responsible for ensuring that Windstream facilities and operations comply with regulatory requirements in the areas of employee safety and transportation safety.  This position reports to the Manager of Health and Safety.    

Job Responsibilities:


•         Oversee the DOT Compliance Program including driver training enforcement, driver file management and vehicle inspections to assure compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulation (FMCSR)


•         Support compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, industry and company Health & Safety and DOT requirements


•         Develop, review, and revise policies, guidelines, safety practices and training programs


•         Collect, organize and distribute data to identify accident and injury trends, and implement corrective actions to support continuous improvement


•         Conduct on-site facility audits/inspections in support of H&S compliance requirements


•         Maintain DOT database, recordkeeping, management reporting, suspense files, random testing, inquiries, ordering/scheduling physicals, and other administrative duties.      


•         Review, update and audit inhouse First Aid/Automated External Defibrillator Program.


•         Perform other H&S related duties as required

***10% travel required.



Job Requirements

Desired Skills:

 

Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written

Strong data analytic skills required including Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment. 

DOT / FMCSR Compliance experience desirable



Minimum Requirements: 
College degree and 1-3 years professional level experience; or 5+ years professional level related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience required.
