Overall Responsibility: 

The Analyst I, Reporting and Analysis serves as one of the department’s day to day contact for ensuring all interconnect invoices are properly GL coded.  This person is also responsible for ad-hoc and recurring data requests related to Interconnect Expense.

Key areas of Responsibility:
  • Supports the Invoice Receipt/Quality, Invoice Processing, and Process/Project Management teams. 
  • Works closely with accounting to ensure proper coding for interconnect expense.
  • Reviews daily reports for changes in cost or coding, and accuracy of reporting, and reports any unusual findings.
  • Assists with updating the provisioning inventory to support the G/L coding process.
  • Provides constant constructive communication within the team to facilitate and foster continuous process improvement.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or relevant work experience.
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry, preferably in the areas of financial analysis, network planning, provisioning, or engineering.
  • High proficiency in the use of MS Office applications, with advanced Excel skills required.
  • Strong research and analytical skills required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills required.
  • Ability to work in and adapt quickly to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to respond to multiple concurrent assignments with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and complete responsibilities with little supervision, yet work well in a team-oriented culture.
  • Knowledge of Business Objects reporting software preferred.
  • Understanding of accounting processes and procedures preferred.
  • Variance analysis experience preferred.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

College degree and 0-3 years professional level experience; or 4+ years professional level related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience required.
