The Analyst I, Access serves as one of the department’s day to day contacts for ensuring all interconnect invoices are received and paid in a timely manner for their assigned vendors.  Also responsible for ad hoc requests from assigned vendors regarding past due balances, remittance advice and accounts in jeopardy of disconnect for nonpayment.

 
Key areas of Responsibility:
  • Supports the Invoice Receipt/Quality, Invoice Processing, and Dispute Initiation/Reconciliation teams. 
  • Review, analyze and address unreconciled balances on monthly vendor aging reports.
  • Resolve daily capture exceptions to recognize new accounts and submit tickets for account setup.
  • Review weekly missing invoice report to ensure all applicable invoices have been received; pull any missing invoices from vendor portals if available or work with vendor contacts to retrieve invoices.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries regarding past due balances, payment remittance or disconnect notices in 24 – 48 hours.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:


College degree and 0-3 years professional level experience; or 4 years professional level related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience required.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or relevant work experience.
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry, preferably in the areas of financial analysis, network planning, provisioning, or engineering.
  • High proficiency in the use of MS Office applications, with advanced Excel skills required.
  • Strong research and analytical skills required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills required.
  • Ability to work in and adapt quickly to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to respond to multiple concurrent assignments with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and complete responsibilities with little supervision yet work well in a team-oriented culture.
  • Knowledge of Business Objects reporting software preferred.
  • Accounts payable experience preferred.
