About the Role:

Senior Network Analyst – Complex Networks is responsible for tier 3 level support for all technicians, providing consultation support on customer solution optimization efforts, providing guidance on individual customer requests and development and training for the Complex NOC front line team. 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming advanced support tasks as needed responding to technicians needs for high level engineering support. 
  • Be available in on-call rotation ranging from bi-weekly to once a month. 
  • Consult on proposed solutions for existing customers and service changes and provide feedback to design and sales team. 
  • With leadership consult on support changes for proposed customer solutions. 
  • Work with Network engineering to provide feedback on network performance on SDWAN, Voice and Data networks.
  • Engage directly (Conference Call) with Vendors and NOC organizations as needed during outages to provide insight into active network troubles and relay feedback on customer impact. 
  • Participate in ICB calls 
  • Work Full Life Cycle (FLTM) JIRA requests as needed to review post impact troubles from customers within the Complex NOC subset. 
  • Develop training, participate in active team training, mentor and advise team as needed on all technical and process related concerns. 
  • Be aware of emerging and new product lines, receive training and trickle-down training to the team on new products. 

Qualifications:

  • Self-starter, highly motivated.  Inclination toward self-study and continuing education preferred. 
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and experience in a customer-facing service role.
  • Experience with basic networking concepts from host level to WAN.
  • Familiarity with basics of BGP and MPLS, with ability to understand basic packet flow from customer to Internet
  • Knowledge of transport and optical technologies. 
     

Workng Conditions:

Job requires regular weekend and off-hours work (including but not limited to starting after 9PM EST and finishing as late as 8AM).

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in a technical discipline and 4-6 years technical experience with 6 years directly related to the job and 5 years of digital experience. College hours or a college degree may be substituted for some experience as deemed appropriate.
