The Senior Director of Technology Infrastructure Operations will lead operations, maintenance, support, and service management for all of IT Infrastructure. He/she will provide infrastructure operational leadership that will operate the technology environment, streamline associated processes, minimize service interruptions, report service levels with transparency, reduce infrastructure costs, and minimize risk associated with technology failures and cyber intrusions. The Technology Infrastructure team manages a large, complex infrastructure and is expanding cloud-based services. The thought leader in this role must drive the team to deliver on strategic and tactical deliverables on time in support of our DevOps teams by providing a scalable architecture, automation, and design that account for an ‘Always On’ end user experience. Continue to drive and transform our Dev Ops teams using Agile modes of operation via pipeline management.  This leader should be able to manage a dual environment of both on-prem and a strategic motion to the cloud. In this role, you will also have the oversight of our internal help desk, supporting the employee base, a Crisis/Problem Management team, and the applications and associated processes to drive and maintain an Enterprise grade change management process for the app/dev teams. As a key member of the senior IT leadership team this role contributes to the development and execution of the enterprise wide IT strategy and is responsible for ensuring IO strategy is fully aligned, with business objectives.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Sets and drives the mission, vision, and strategy of the IO organization to maximize the success of business and IT enterprise initiatives.
  • Introduces technologies, automation, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevOps practices to innovative and differentiate infrastructure and operations capabilities that enhance our overall competitive capabilities and enhance employee productivity.
  • Partner with Operating Companies enhancing the global IT teams ability to focus on more strategic initiatives.
  • Works with the IT senior leadership team on the service portfolio and governance required to prioritize resources, including budget.
  • Builds successful stakeholder relationships with other IT and business leaders by developing a clear understanding of business needs, acting as a trusted advisor, and ensuring cost-effective delivery of IT services to meet those needs.
  • Creates and aligns an IO value map by linking targeted business outcomes with the future-state business capabilities required to achieve them.
  • Develops and controls the annual IO budget to ensure that it's consistent with the overall strategic objectives of IT and the enterprise and is within plan.
  • Defines, develops and manages a comprehensive and integrated ITSM landscape, based on best-practice processes, disciplines and related toolsets.
  • Collaborates with the CISO to ensure IO embrace and apply security strategy.
  • Operates a formal governance mechanism to establish and monitor effective controls for the processes and functions performed by IO teams. Supports periodic reviews by internal audit, compliance teams and other risk-related functions as required.
  • Leverages influencing and negotiation skills across IT and the enterprise to enable cost-effective and innovative shared solutions in the achievement of business goals.

Job Requirements

Desired Qualifications: College degree in a Technical or related field and 12 years professional level experience with 4-6 years supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or 16 years professional level related Technical experience with 4-6 years supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Technical experience desired.


  • Bachelor’s or master's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, related field or equivalent work experience
  • Ten or more years of experience in IT or business/industry
  • Infrastructure Leadership Experience, (Cloud experience required)
  • Strong third-party management skills, working closely with sourcing and vendor managers.
  • Five or more years of leadership responsibilities, including strategy, budgeting and staffing
  • Demonstrated experience of influencing key stakeholders across the organization and within complex contexts
  • Preferably proven experience or demonstrated capability in leading IT transformational initiatives in complex, dynamic environments where agile was applied at scale.
  • Skilled at building relationships with external providers / partners, internal stakeholders and team
  • A deep passion for innovation and improving organization performance through the application of immerging technologies and practices
  • A strong desire to continually learn about new technologies
  • Results oriented and metric driven.
  • Work well under minimal supervision
  • Maintain calmness and clarity of thought under pressure and ability to maintain confidentiality
