Position Objective:

Gather and report on Access savings initiatives conducted by multiple teams within Access.  Refine existing reporting based on internal customer needs, including the Senior Leadership Team.  Partner with Accounting team to ensure that all expected savings are accrued and recognized in the financial statements.  Analyze results in a detailed manner to report initiatives both on specific (BU, Revex, circuit, etc) and summarized levels.  Present results to Access leadership team before broader distribution.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Access Project Management team for bulk of savings initiative results to accrue based on firm order commitment (FOC) date
  • Gather remaining project information from other Access project owners
  • Construct reporting on Access savings initiatives to provide meaningful views to management
  • Defend claimed savings with detailed analysis of MRC changes, disputes, special accruals, etc (must maintain strong relationship with Accounting team)
  • Work with Forecasting lead on Access Finance team to load initiative database with results
  • Drive process improvements to increase both A) speed and B) reliability of initiative reporting
  • Hand off any aged accruals for savings to dispute team if changes should have been reflected on vendor invoices, but have not yet happened as expected

 Candidate Requirements: 

  • Must have demonstrated understanding of access cost and circuit design components within a telecommunications company
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills
  • Must possess strong Excel skills to manipulate large amounts of data in disparate formats
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize issues to meet the prescribed timeline
  • Must be familiar with Oracle SQL with a propensity to learn additional skills
  • Must be familiar with TCB code, Java Script, PHP and Python.
