Windstream operates the 77th largest fleet program, and 50th largest commercial truck fleet programs across the US including sedans, pickup trucks, bucket trucks, medium-duty vehicles, and various pieces of equipment.  The Fleet program is expanding the medium-duty lineup which requires an entry level or experienced Fleet Analyst to join the team to support daily activities of field operations.

About the Role:

As a Fleet Analyst you will work with business stakeholders and fleet resources to analyze data and enhance Windstream’s fleet program.  The position is responsible for managing and developing key reports through existing software applications, ensuring fleet optimization and compliance to the field.  ‘

As a fleet analyst you will analyze, build, test, and deploy enhancements of existing fleet programs to department liaisons and manage small to medium sized projects from initiation to implementation while interacting with all levels of management. You will also support future opportunities with new and emerging green fuel technologies to meet Windstream’s sustainability initiatives & targets.  

What You’ll Do:

  • Support the daily activities of Windstream’s vehicle portfolio to ensure units remain operational and functional for field teams.
  • Maintain vehicle registration database and the requirements & prerequisites required to keep vehicles compliant with state and federal regulations.
  • Administer GPS tracking system and application settings for all departments to monitor their driver’s behavior and optimization.
  • Ensure drivers comply with all DOT regulations and hours of service.
  • Analyze data and provide recommendation to increase business operational efficiencies with appropriate courses of action.
  • Build great working relationships with both internal Windstream employees from the Fleet Team, local Operations, Engineering, Accounting, and Legal.
  • Provide accurate, timely, and concise updates both verbally and written.
  • Provide accurate, timely, and concise reporting – recurring and ad-hoc.
  • You will report to the Staff Manager of Fleet and Sustainability.

Job Requirements

Do You Have?

  • Experience in logistics and basic accounting practices.
  • Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills in fast paced, changing environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
  • College degree or equivalent education.
  • 3-5 years of professional level experience.

Even Better: 

  • Master’s degree in Business or Accounting.
  • Experience with construction equipment including basic usage, mechanics & service work, and available attachments/parts.
  • Experience in vehicle mechanics and basic vehicle maintenance & service parts
  • Experience in transportation or telecommunications industry. 
  • Customer service or sale experience.
  • Certifications or training directly related to the position.
