This Jira Administrator position in Network Business Intelligence - Engineering Applications (NBI-Apps) will be working in a fun, challenging, fast-paced environment using Agile methodologies to develop JIRA project customizations and Groovy scripting which enable the Engineering arm of Windstream to function more efficiently and effectively. We are looking for a Jira Administrator responsible for requirements gathering, process development, creating new JIRA projects, customizing project fields, customizing workflows, creating scripted issue interactions, providing guidance on Jira REST API to end users, and promoting Windstream standard practices in Jira. In addition to Jira project work, the position is also responsible for providing guidance to the business related to Atlassian Confluence and Microsoft Sharepoint space organization and permission controls. 

Job Responsibilities:
• Development and maintenance of Jira Projects
• Implementation, testing, and maintenance of Jira Groovy scripting
• Permissions management in Confluence wiki platform
• Building reusable code and libraries for future use
• Manage work through Agile tools/methodology, collaborative repositories, issue tracking platforms, and wikis.
• Manage projects through to completion.
• Effective communications in person and using JIRA, Confluence, email, and chat tools.
• Effective collaboration in a dynamic team environment.
• Independent project execution with minimal oversight.
• Provide technical mentoring for the team.Essential Skills

Desired Skills:

• Experience with creating content and managing permissions in Atlassian Confluence and MS Sharepoint
• Knowledge of the HTTP protocol and web service usage (RPC, REST, SOAP); including the Jira REST API
• Software development utilizing the Jira REST API or other web hooks in Jira
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements: 

College degree in a Technical or a related field and 2-4 years professional level experience; or 6+ years professional level related Technical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Technical experience required.
