As Sr. Director SD-WAN and Security Services, you are a subject matter expert who will direct the SD-WAN and managed network security portfolio including: SD-WAN, Managed Network Security (appliance, cloud and virtual network function (VNF)), Intrusion Detection and Prevention, Zero trust Network Access (ZTNA), Remote Access and Endpoint Protection services, Security Information Event Management and distributed denial of service mitigation (DDoS). As the leader of the SD-WAN and security portfolio, you will be responsible for the introduction of new lines of services, product lifecycle, and the go-to-market motions for SD-WAN and security services as well as the integration of the security and SD-WAN service ecosystems and drive Windstream’s secure access service edge (SASE) strategy.

Additionally, as the Sr. Director of SD-WAN and Security Services, you will plan, develop and execute effective prospecting and marking plans to increase product penetration and ARPU and drive operational excellence to increase the margins and improve the customer experience of all SD-WAN and managed network security services. In this position you will leverage technology vendor partnerships, service provider partnerships and operational partnerships along with internal software development and big data and analytics exposed internally and externally to deliver market leading service offerings.


  • Understand existing customer and target prospect requirements and competitive environments relative to SD-WAN and network-based security services (Firewall, NGFW, DDoS, SIEM, Remote Access/Endpoint Protection) and create/execute the strategy to develop and enhance services and the go-to-market motions to capture market share from existing and new logos
  • Develop, execute, and maintain an integrated strategic product portfolio business plan that provides current market information, including sales and gross profit margin history, year-to-date (YTD) actual and projections, key market positioning, sales channel and competitive strategies, pricing/cost modeling, market share, product life cycle plans, and evolution plans
  • Product lifecycle management of the SD-WAN and security portfolios including migration/consolidation of services and EOL activities for services no longer relevant to the strategy
  • Develop and maintain service pricing models; forecast and track KPIs for product financial, sales, service delivery and customer satisfaction metrics
  • Enable multiple sales channels (direct and indirect) with go-to-market direction and support the creation of collateral, case studies, presentations, executive and analyst briefings, press releases and other marketing materials
  • Prepare and deliver integrated product presentations, technology and go-to-market sales training and subject matter expert assistance where requested including customer calls, RFP’s and industry events and conferences
  • Work cross-functionally with all departments and external partners to resolve service issues, implement product changes, develop product offerings, and manage all products.

Desired Qualifications: College degree and 12 years professional level experience with 4-6 years supervisory experience; or 16 years professional level related experience with 4-6 years supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience desired.
