An integral member of Windstream’s Service Delivery who responsible for technically understanding the customer’s requirements to ensure that the service solution ordered, meets and/or exceeds the customer’s expectations.  They must understand all products and the customer’s requirements to ensure that the service solution ordered, meets or exceeds the customer’s expectations.  This role is accountable for engaging the customer/customer’s technical resources, Sales Engineering, Field Technicians, Project/Project Coordination Management, provisioning, Operations and other internal organizations to ensure he/she has the information to accurately design and develop and implement a complex solution. Additionally, this individual will be accountable on some solutions to insert themselves in the final turn-up of the customer for the solution they have designed. This is a technical role that is key to developing and maintaining the trust of our existing/potential customers.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Respond to complex solutions (MPLS, IPSEC Adv., IPSEC VPN, Hosted Network Security, Secure WIFI, SIP, and Hosted Voice) design requests from the Sales and Sales Engineering functions.
  • Work collaboratively with the solutions design support resources (Engineering, Capacity, Special Pricing, Sales Engineering and Circuit Design) to create a unique communications solution for prospective customers. Engage with Sales Engineering, sales and Customers when necessary to ensure full design is understood and all aspects of the customer’s needs are addressed with the comprehensive solution.
  • Keep up to date network designs for use in breaking down requests to an accurate highly detailed level.
  • Review customer CSRs and review inventory with customer. Ensure TNs fall within the same rate center and confirm what each line will be used for.
  • Review of clients Hosted Voice services and finalize the Hosted Voice Worksheet
  • Design the provisioning plan and outline any non-standard tasks required to execute a successful product installation.
  • Act as a SME resource to the various installation teams when questions arise about the solution throughout the installation process.
  • Participate as needed in the final stages of the installation process as the original solutions designed to ensure continuity of proposal to product delivery and functionality.
  • Maintain an ongoing knowledge of Windstream’s products and technology
  • Act as a liaison between Sales/Sales Engineering, Provisioning, NIE, Order Entry and Project Management to achieve common goals.
  • Act as a SME in UAT environment on new product rollouts and system requirement testing
  • Act as a SME for on products and process as well as assist peers with training(when applicable)

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements: 
High School diploma or equivalent and 2-3 years technical/telephony experience.  Associates Degree in technical discipline preferred.  College hours or a college degree may be substituted for some experience as deemed appropriate.
