Position Objective


The Analyst II – Customer Profitability will be responsible for planning, identifying, and implementing Windstream network expense saving opportunities nationwide.

 
Position Activities: 
  • Demonstrate understanding of network needs to include network topology, impacted projects, and high cost areas.
  • Demonstrate good understanding of term and billing items pertaining to off-net circuits and vendor billing plans. 
  • Develop/maintain good report with engineering groups to assist in project management efforts.
  • Develop/maintain good report with vendor sales & engineering contacts to ease quoting and circuit implementation.
  • Research and gain knowledge in various provisioning systems (Metasolv instances).
  • Exhibit skill in collecting and analyzing all inputs for off-net circuit designs.
  • Produce regional review of current Network Access expense across multiple legacy companies.
  • Research opportunities to eliminate or consolidate long-haul network expense (TDM, optical, and/or Ethernet).
  • Analyze use of existing fiber and opportunities for on-net migration.
  • Propose action items based on regional analysis to implement for cost savings.
  • Execute ad-hoc savings opportunities as needed.
  • Effectively communicate conversion initiative to customers, and follow thru with cost savings plan.
  • Ability to collaborate with Sales/Account Management teams, and provide customer feedback.
  • Ability to accomplish defined objectives, team player, and capable of making quick decisions.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements

College degree and 3-5 years professional level experience with 0-1 years supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or 7+ years professional level related experience with 0-1 years supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience required.

  • Two to three years telecommunications experience required.
  • Firm knowledge of telecommunications services and circuit transport types is required.
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Decision making and problem solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of fundamentals for Excel and Access.
  • Strong working knowledge of network backhaul expense structure.
  • Proficient knowledge of provisioning systems, including M5, M6 and ASAP is needed.
  • Proficient knowledge of ticketing system Jira is needed.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills to projects with limited guidance.
