About the Role: Engineering Project Management Interns will be exposed to the fast-paced telecommunications industry and discover the various complexities associated with keeping network projects organized, on track and in budget. Specific duties and projects will vary based on departmental needs and intern skillset, but will provide real-world, hands-on experiences. Engineering Project Management Intern positions will be based in Evansville, IN & Remote is also an option. What You’ll Do: Shadow and assist the Network Optimization PMO team as we build and decommission network across the US. Prepare and drive audits related to Fiber Optic network. Monitor and assist new site build outs including but not limited too Mechanical Engineer layout (HVAC size and placement, hot/cold aisle layout, fire suppression, overhead racking cable layout and design), Network Engineer layout and gear placement, capacity management and vendor scheduling. Prepared to collaborate with a dynamic and autonomous team, collectively possessing over 200 years of expertise in Project Management and Telecommunications. This seasoned group is eager to share their wealth of knowledge and experience. Do You Have? Analytical thinking, adaptable, problem solving, and decision making Planning, implementation/ follow through, hard worker, initiative, detail oriented, conscientious, innovation, positive attitude, teamwork. Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize multiple projects, with strong attention to detail. Mentors Each intern will have a dedicated mentor within Network Optimization PMO to assist in guiding the interns through their daily functions as well as help them navigate the working world in a corporate environment. Minimum Requirements:3.0 or above GPA
Currently enrolled in College as a Junior or Senior
Able to work 40 hour work week during the Summer
