About the Role:
The Principal Engineer in Security and SD-WAN Engineering will analyze requirements to meet the demand and performance of products, systems, and/or data. The role involves performing engineering design evaluations, including cost-effective utilization of materials. Responsibilities include the design, development, testing, and implementation of all components, equipment, and software within the functional area of the organization. The incumbent will provide technical leadership and direction in their area of expertise for engineering staff and Windstream internal teams by enhancing operations and maintaining the reliability of systems. This role also involves acting as the technical consultant within and outside the department, promoting positive change in the company’s business strategy through achieving specific objectives and technological innovation. The role requires self-motivation to address technical escalations from customer-facing teams and may include some on-call duties.

Minimum Requirements:
College degree in Engineering or a related field and 3-5 years professional level experience with 0-1 year supervisory experience; or 7+ years professional level related Engineering/Technical experience with 0-1 year supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Engineering/Technical experience required.
The starting compensation range for this position is $105,600 - $141,300.
