About this Role:

Provide technical sales support for all services sold by Windstream’s Carrier Network Solutions team. Position Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

  • Aid in the development of network solutions for Carrier Network customers to include analyzing customer needs, providing technical support on RFPs/RFIs and presenting solutions to customers.
  • Identify technical issues involving network design, topology, access, POP locations and maps.
  • Assist with solutions involving fiber builds.
  • Serve as technical liaison between Carrier Network Solutions team and Windstream internal support groups (ICSC, Network Planning and Engineering, Service Delivery, Network Operations, Pricing, Product Development and Legal).
  • Coordinate network interconnection with Carrier Network customers by interfacing with Windstream network planning and engineering personnel.
  • Maintain a current and comprehensive knowledge of Windstream network, products and services and relevant related industry communication technologies.

Do You Have:

  • Skilled in use of basic and advanced computer software including Microsoft Office and Visio.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of DWDM, SONET and Ethernet technologies and application.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and guidance.
  • Background in network planning and engineering, data planning and engineering or sales engineering.

Minimum Requirements:

  • College degree in Engineering or a related field and 5-7 years professional level experience with 0-2 years supervisory experience; or 9+ years professional level related Engineering/Technical experience with 0-2 years supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Engineering/Technical experience required.
