Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power BI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in developing and managing business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. This role requires a deep understanding of data modeling, data visualization, and analytical skills to transform data into meaningful insights that support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Dashboard Development
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually appealing Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into effective dashboard solutions.
Data Management
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Develop and maintain data models and databases to support Power BI solutions.
Analysis and Reporting
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Present data findings in a clear and concise manner to support business decision-making.
Performance Optimization
- Optimize dashboards and reports for performance and usability.
- Implement best practices for data visualization and user experience.
Collaboration and Support
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, marketing, and operations, to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and dashboards.
Documentation and Standard
- Create and maintain documentation for Power BI solutions, including data models, data sources, and report specifications.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices for data security and privacy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and M language for Power Query.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with database management systems such as SQL Server.
- Experience with ETL processes and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or similar certification.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies.
- Familiarity with Azure data services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory).
Actual base pay for this job will depend on the candidate's primary work location and other factors, such as relevant skills and experience The starting compensation range for this job is $67,100 to $88,100
