Job Description:

We are looking for a strong B2B technology vertical marketing professional with a firm grasp on the telecommunications industry with a vertical focus on multi-location enterprises with unique attributes and needs -- retail & retail-like, healthcare (hospitals, urgent care, laboratories), finance-banking, credit unions, K-12 education, hospitality, manufacturing. Will create and position solutions leveraging our portfolio of services which may include telecommunications infrastructure, transport, data networking, voice, unified communications, security and professional services. Highly-motivated, results-driven marketer with technical aptitude and strong leadership, interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills. Candidate will manage and complete multiple projects while executing programs to drive sales leads to meet revenue targets. Must be creative, innovative and work with minimal supervision and guidance.


Responsibilities:

•    Develop positioning, value proposition, buyer personas and targeted messaging to differentiate Windstream's products and solutions in the market based on a deep understanding of business challenges facing retail such as Home Goods, Specialty Retail, Regional Grocery, Big Box, department stores, Pharmacies and retail-like businesses such as Restaurants, Medical and Dental Offices, Retail Banking, etc.

•    Collaborate on vertical marketing plan development to drive business relationships, solution adoption, scale, and revenue for retail and retail-like customers.

•    Support verticalization of go-to-market plans for new product launches and existing product initiatives; including goals, messaging, communications, and campaigns.

•    In collaboration with Marketing, Events and Campaign Management teams, help design and execute integrated demand gen and event strategy focused on retail and retail-like clients, including email campaigns, direct mail, events and webinars, response and lead management, and SLAs.

•    Partner with training organization to articulate Windstream’s solution value to retail and retail-like customers.

•    Support field and channel partners in sales and marketing activities to drive Windstream solution adoption in the retail space.  

 

Experience Required:

•    BA/BS with 4+ years of telecommunications industry marketing experience

•    4+ years B2B technology vertical marketing experience targeting retail and retail-like prospects.

•    Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and manage the dynamics of a complex organization.

•    Ability to build a coalition of partners across the organization (sales, product management, Ops, etc.)

•    Demonstrated ability to innovate and find new ways to compete and win.

•    Experience creating marketing plans encompassing customer research, competitive analysis, messaging, awareness, demand gen and sales enablement.

•    Highly motivated, results-driven with ability to create excitement internally and externally for your vertical solutions and Windstream.

•    Team player who enjoys working across functions and at all levels of the company.

•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

•    Highly organized, attentive and team-oriented with a strong sense of accountability.

•    Strong project management skills.

•    Lead generation, lead nurture, marketing automation experience a plus.


Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:College degree and 5-7 years professional level experience with 2-3 years supervisory experience; or 9 years professional level related experience with 2-3 years supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience required.
