Voice NOC - Advanced Services Network Analyst I/II is responsible for the day to day operations of all network elements on the VoIP Network.

This includes equipment from the core elements to the point of customer termination in either co-location areas or switch sites; MetaSwich, Sonus, Sylantro, Broadsoft, Oracle/Acme, IPUnity, Genband C3/G9, Alcatel-Lucent LGP/LCS and Adtran/Cisco IADs.

Analyze network alarms and output messages and resolve complex network troubles and perform daily health checks.

Analyze customer reports and resolve complex voice or data troubles. Coordinate the resolution with specific operating company field personnel, NOC management team, and vendor support teams. Lead a network outage bridge with other Windstream technicians and Vendors.

Communicate service and technical information to NOC support personnel, customers, vendors, and other support centers.

Provide escalated support for DNOC, ERC, Service Delivery and Field Ops Technicians in customer issues escalated, network alarm issues escalated from surveillance personnel.

Provide training and trouble escalations to Advanced Services NA II/III Technicians. Test and implement new hardware, software and configuration being considered for implementation into the Windstream network.

Develop and provide training on network equipment and customer connectivity to level II and level III customer facing technicians will also be critical.

Coordinate and assist in completion of scheduled network maintenance. Router configuring and troubleshooting. OSPF & MPLS troubleshooting is a plus.
 
Be available for on call rotation and shift work.

Educational/Specialized/Technical:
Two year or four year degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
Cisco Certification desired.

Two years of MetaSwitch or related VoIP gateway and softswitch training or 3 year equivalent experience.

Feature Server training or equivalent work experience.

Session Border Controller experience.
VoIP VM training or equivalent work experience.
Cisco Router Experience.
UNIX experience desired.
Solaris experience desired.

Knowledge of Cisco networking equipment, Softswitch/VoIP equipment, multiple test equipment, class 5 switches beneficial. 

There is no relocation package offered for this position.


Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:  

Associate Degree in a technical discipline and 4-6 years technical/telephony experience with 5+ years directly related to the job; or 8+ years of directly related telephony or network operations experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience required.
