Sr. Consultant – Cost Transformation

About the Role:

The objective of the cost transformation team is to sustain a continuous improvement culture within Windstream.  The focus areas are, 1) continually identify efficiency opportunities and frame approaches to address, 2) provide analytical support to validate hypothesis, 3) instill Lean behaviors across all levels, and 4) oversee execution of improvement ideas and identify course correction opportunities.  The Sr. Consultant – Cost Transformation will collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to identify continuous improvement opportunities that enhance operational effectiveness, operational efficiency, and commercial effectiveness.  Furthermore, the Sr. Consultant – Cost Transformation will drive alignment across the business to accept and implement improvement efforts, and to realize impacts. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Facilitate weekly deep dive exploration exercises with the business.
  • Collaboratively analyze and prepare for the deep dive session with executive management.
  • Hold the business accountable by documenting and tracking identified changes to be executed.
  • Bring both analytical skills to review data, and business acumen to understand the context and needs of the business.
  • Instill rigor and discipline in defining tactical improvement opportunities, and cooperatively maintain accountability across the business to achieve change objectives.
  • Support cross-functional coordination and collaboration to overcome inevitable dependencies, risks, changes and challenges.
  • You will report to the Sr. Director - Finance

Job Requirements

Do You Have:

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
  • Excellent analytical skills including ability to analyze unstructured information and generate insights.
  • Strong Accounting and Financial Analysis, possessing Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills (particularly Microsoft Excel), and demonstrate a positive and constructive attitude.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to challenge business stakeholders and hold them accountable for the identified actions.
  • Excellent active listening skills, and patience to cultivate alignment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
  • Flexible and adaptable able to work in ambiguous situations.
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills.
  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization.

  • Strong operations background preferred.

  • Experience developing reports/presentations to be provided to Management.
