The Access Planning analyst will be responsible for planning and implementing Network Access cost reduction efforts.

Responsibilities     

 M  

M             Market Planning



•         Produce market-level review of current Network Access expense        across multiple legacy companies within a metro area


•         Research opportunities to eliminate or consolidate TDM expense


•         Analyze use of existing fiber and opportunities for on-net migration


•         Determine strategic partnerships with CAP providers at offnet               locations


•         Propose action items based on market analysis to implement for          cost savings


      Savings Implementation



•         Research circuit mileage expense and initiate cost savings grooms


•         Collaborate with Capacity Planners to determine opportunities for         TDM consolidation and implement grooms


•         Achieve savings through migrations to lower cost transport                  providers


•         Implement savings grooms related to on-net capital projects


•         Execute ad-hoc savings opportunities as needed



Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

College degree and 3-5 years professional level experience or 7+ years professional level related experience with 1+ years supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience required.



Desired Requirements:
  • Strong working knowledge of Network backhaul expense and TDM capacity management
  • Knowledge of provisioning systems, including M5, M6 and ASAP
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Understanding of SQL
  • Strong oral and written skills
  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills to projects with limited guidance
  • Willingness and ability to work independently
