Technician II. Srv Activation will have Technical expertise in one the following technology areas: Advanced Data (MPLS) or Advanced Voice (TDM, or VOIP line/trunk/SIP). Successfully prioritizes install workload, ensures order tasks have been completed at least 24 hours prior to install, and completes installation. Directly accesses network elements to support configuration work required. Ability to configure, troubleshoot, and resolve any customer facing product or technology trouble in that respective discipline.
Position Activities 
• Verify services to be delivered for the order & ensure all necessary equipment, configurations & translations are ready.
• Turn up services as requested by the customer.
• Port Numbers via NPAC/SOA/DSET.
• Test all services delivered with FSR and/or vendor.
• Make necessary changes that the customer may need/want at the time of install & ensure the order is updated properly.
• Note MSS/ICare/M6/AS400 systems accordingly.
• Complete CUTDATE/INSTALL task.
• Working knowledge of all switches and the products provisioned in those switches. Must have the ability to build and troubleshoot within those switches at the time of install.
• Working knowledge of Windstream equipment from the core elements to the point of customer termination in either co-location areas or switch sites.
• Perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent and 4+ years experience with 3+ years directly related to the job. College hours or a college degree may be substituted for some experience as deemed appropriate.
