This position is primarily responsible for the management, support of, and timely submission of ASRs and LSRs and other ordering formats for the disconnection and possible reinstatement of leased facilities, obtaining confirmation and completion notices and clearing up the leased network so that facilities are ready for use for new customers. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support internal and external teams and work order fall out to ensure timely disconnection of leased facility/resale disconnects to meet departmental SLAs.
  • WIP management.
  • Update/maintain accurate records in operating systems, including notes, task management and circuit design.
  • Process orders placed to disconnect services by researching thoroughly to determine if order is correct and includes all information necessary to process.
  • Pulling carrier CSR/records and internal LEC billing records, and comparing/verifying the information from the carrier with the information on the disconnect order.  If discrepancies exist, must be able to research to determine next appropriate course of action.
  • Research vendor business rules, analyze and resolve ordering issues.
  • Follow up to ensure FOC has been received and order has fully completed with carrier.
  • Initiate appropriate levels of escalation, both internally and externally when necessary to ensure timely disconnection or reconnection of services/meet SLAs.
  • Orders must be updated throughout the project so that tasks/jobsteps/statuses and notes are completed in real time as order is being processed.
  • All clarifications/rejects/jeps must be responded to in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ability to solve problems, troubleshoot and work at a fast pace in order to maintain production goals.
  • Interact with outside departments, ILECs, CLECs, etc. when required to facilitate circuit restoration if a disconnect in error occurs.
  • Participate in projects as required by management.
  • Has a solid understanding and adherence of team policy, procedures and processes.
  • Other duties as required by management.

Desired Work Traits and Skills:

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft office.  Ability to identify and prioritize tasks and organize time well and use time effectively.  Must be self-motivated, able to multitask, have strong verbal and written communication skills, be approachable, dependable, professional, maintain a positive attitude, be a team player and possess leadership skills.  Must be detail orientated and well organized with the ability to work under minimal supervision. Must possess strong research skills as well as presentation and training abilities. Need to have an even temperament, excellent work ethic, and be accountable for job responsibilities and mistakes and be willing to work overtime to support the workload.  Must have good follow up skills as disconnects are time sensitive and the orders must be processed quickly and accurately to ensure LEC spend is minimized.  Should be a fast learner and be able to adapt quickly in an ever-changing environment.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent and 4+ years experience with 3+ years directly related to the job. College hours or a college degree may be substituted for some experience as deemed appropriate.
