Position Objective:

Report on Access savings initiatives conducted by multiple teams within Access.  Refine existing reporting based on internal customer needs, including the Senior Leadership Team.  Partner with Accounting team to ensure that all expected savings are accrued and recognized in the financial statements.  Analyze results in a detailed manner to report initiatives both on specific (BU, Revex, circuit, etc) and summarized levels.  Present results to leadership and peers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner closely with business users to understand and analyze requirements• Gather remaining project information from other Access project owners

• Construct reporting on Access savings initiatives to provide meaningful views to management

• Write and maintain complex database queries and deliver information to users

• Validate outputs to ensure information provided to users is correct and able to support critical decisions

• Drive process improvements to increase both A) speed and B) reliability of reporting

• Document data integration processes, metadata, and other related items

• When needed, provide after-hours support to business users working under reporting deadlines

Candidate Requirements: 

• Must demonstrate understanding of database reporting tools and methods, preferably within a telecommunications company

• Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills

• Must be able to multitask and prioritize issues to meet the prescribed timeline

• Must be familiar with Oracle SQL/MS SQL with an aptitude for learning additional skills

• Seeks to understand complex problems and solve root-cause issues

• Comfortable working with financially significant data and being relied upon to lead the business to correct solutions

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements: 

College degree and 5-7 years professional level experience with 2-3 years supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
