This Project Manager should be a seasoned professional having wide-ranging experience and recognized as an advanced individual contributor, using professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative effective ways. This individual will focus on delivering in a timely and plan to budget fashion construction projects including fiber builds and building additions to the existent network. Previous telecommunications experience required. 

As such the need for strong program management is critical to address both the scoping, sizing and definition of the project. 

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the efforts of multiple, interlinked and interdepartmental groups over the life cycle and duration of the overall project
• Serve as a subject matter expert as it relates to internal metrics, team dynamics, risk mitigation, and industry best practices in these areas
• Provide guidance and apply expert level knowledge in areas such as conducting project risk assessment, requirements gathering, and lessons learned activities
• Overall project management of construction projects and equipment deployment for OnNet initiative 
• Manage cost tracking to plan and on schedule

Job Requirements

• 6 years of telecom experience required in Engineering, Operations or Network Development with experience in managing, large, multi-component, construction projects

• Skilled 3rd party and internal team management expertise.

• Knowledge and experience in sizing and scoping efforts based on preliminary data

• Demonstrated ability to track resource utilization and time-frames against plan.

• Able to manage cost tracking to plan.

• Strong communication skills and comfortable engaging with executives as part of a defined governance structure.

• Strong change management expertise and ability to effectively implement and track this as part of a large, complete project.

• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams

• Experience with fiber network build out and new construction

• Telecom construction background highly desired

• PMP certification desired but not required 

Project Manager I Minimum Requirements: College degree and 6 years professional level experience with; or 10 years professional level related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience desired.

Project Manager II Minimum Requirements: College degree and 8 years professional level experience with 3-4 years supervisory experience; or 12 years professional level related experience with 3-4 years supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience desired.
