The Program Manager is to provide the Customer a single point of contact for strategic projects, both high-level and subordinate in nature, with appropriate integration of each. The Program Manager will coordinate activities with Customer, Windstream and vendor/supplier resources to plan, manage, and coordinate all activities related to project Statements of Work and will supervise overall activities.

 

The Program Manager’s activities include, but are not limited to, the following:



•Develop and maintain a high-level program plan and schedule.

•Lead program kick-off meetings to review program objectives, scopes and confirm Customer requirements.

•Determine implementation resource requirements and coordinate scheduling of those resources aligned with activities.

•Develop and maintain, in coordination with project team, a work breakdown structure and program schedule including:
oWork package breakdown.
oIdentifying Critical Path.
oMilestones and tasks.
oTask responsibility assignment.
oDefinition of roles and responsibilities.

•Generate and maintain a program workbook.

•Generate and maintain an implementation plan that defines overall plan, approach and methodology to be utilized during the program.

•Generate and maintain a change management plan that defines the methodology for tracking changes in scope of the program (schedule, resource, functional, or technical) and provides the mechanism for change impact assessment and acceptance and rejection procedures.

•Generate and maintain a Communication plan, including definition of escalation path, which defines key contacts and escalation path for program resources, the meeting structure, attendance expectations, status reporting approach, frequency and the mechanism for distribution of updates.

•Generate and maintain a Risk mitigation plan that describes the methodology for identifying, tracking, managing and resolving potential risks that might impact program success and quality.

•Generate and maintain a Cutover plan that describes the sequence of events that occur just prior to, during and immediately after the cutover process, including proceed-or-abort decision points, task assignments, back-out criteria and system restore procedures.

Conduct weekly program status meetings and issue status reports to:


•Identify program issues and actions, with descriptions of issues and actions for resolution, including open date, due date and party responsible for resolution.

•Manage change management process.

•Maintain issue and action logs.


Desired Qualifications:  

College degree in a Technical or related field and 8+ years professional level experience with 3-4 years supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or 12+ years professional level related Technical experience with 3-4 years supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Technical experience desired.

Minimum Requirements:  

College degree in Engineering or a related field and 5-7 years professional level experience with 0-2 years supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or 9+ years professional level related Engineering/Technical experience with 0-2 years supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Engineering/Technical experience required.
