Job Responsibilities:
  • Act as escalation point for complex issues including: Voice, SIP/VoIP and SD-WAN, UCaaS, and Virtual Telephony.
  • Work alongside carrier partners and internal and external vendor teams to collaborate on impact and trouble resolution.
  • Assist in product roll-out, acceptance testing, network testing and ensure that front line teams can handle support for emergent technologies and existing network architecture.
  • Document resolution and conduct appropriate after actions upon trouble resolution to ensure customer network optimization.
  • Work with to audit and optimize customer network solutions to ensure maximum service uptime, survivability and sustainability.
  • Identify and handle upstream communication regarding network service trends, escalation trends, emergent technology and network vulnerabilities both from a provider backbone perspective and a customer solution perspective.
  • Manage small-scale projects and tasks while working closely with Engineering teams internally or with customer account teams as needed.

Required Skills:

  • Strong technical background that includes voice technologies
  • Proven track record of being able to resolve complex issues and exhibit a genuine enthusiasm for working with network equipment
  • Experience working in a service provider environment and familiarity with key concepts including MPLS, VoIP Architecture, Transport Infrastructure, and SD WAN all from a service provider standpoint.

Preferred Skills:

  • BA degree in a technology track or equivalent experience of no less than 5 years in a Network Operations, Network and Voice Administration, Network Associate, or Network Technician role
  • Ability to work in a high stress environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work with Basic Scripting Languages is highly desirable, as is an understanding of SAAS and Cloud Infrastructure
  • CCNA-Voice certification is preferred, but would also consider the CCNA-Data certification 

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Associate's Degree in a technical discpline and 4-6 years technical/telephony experience with 4+ years directly related to the job; or 7+ years of directly related telephony or network operations experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience required.
