Job Description:

The Major Account Executive’s (MAE) primary responsibilities are to acquire new customers through the development of specific account and market strategies, and to manage ongoing business relationships to drive incremental and recurring revenues.  The measure of success for this position is meeting or exceeding the assigned annual revenue target and gross profit target.  The successful candidate will be enabled to sell Windstream’s  product and service portfolio as outlined above.

Responsibilities:

Ø  Sale of High Speed Internet Project and Support agreements, On-Prem Voice systems, both projects and maintenance agreements, Hosted Voice, Voice/Data Infrastructure including low voltage cabling deployments, and Manufacturer’s Equipment Maintenance and Support to new customers in the US in a manner that is consistent with business plans and company objectives

Ø  Meet or exceed established sales quotas

Ø  Responsibility for developing the go-to-market strategies to penetrate all non-Windstream customers in the territory, market segment, and/or assigned lodging accounts or prospects..

Ø  Develop specific account strategies, business development plans and territory management goals by engaging  decision makers in targeted customer organizations

Ø  Consistent activity of developing new business contacts, identifying and advancing sales opportunities, qualifying buying opportunities and timeframes, generating and presenting proposals, acquiring new customers and developing strong business relationships with those customers.

Ø  Actively work a large sales funnel with consistent client interaction and a high degree of organizational effort.

Ø  Submit completed order and project paperwork that align with client and Windstream – required  goals and expectations.

Ø  Submit timely, accurate, and consistent reporting for sales forecasting. Maintain and update company-provided online sales records on a consistent and periodic basis.

Ø  Collaborate with account team resources to ensure a solid customer fulfillment process, both pre and post sale. Grow product and industry knowledge level to advance consultative sales efforts within the client base.

 

Job Requirements

Requirements / Qualifications:

Ø  A minimum of 5 - 7 years sales experience

Ø  BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in a related field

Ø  Demonstrated track record in meeting and exceeding aggressive sales quota targets

Ø  Effective presentation skills.

Ø  Ability to gain confidence of customer teams and to grow customer confidence and loyalty

Ø  Experience selling Wireless (“Wifi”), converged networking, On-Prem Commercial PX Systems, and Hosted Platforms to the lodging and/or MDU markets, and circuits.

Ø  Demonstrated abilities using a consultative selling approach. Strategic Selling experience to large organizations with multiple decision makers, at the C-Level, as well as financial, operations, and IT influencers.

Ø  Pre-established database of decision maker contacts and business relationships within the Hospitality vertical is preferred.
