This is a new position within the IT Solutions Management Team reporting to the VP of IT Solutions Management in either Twinsburg or Little Rock.  Other Windstream locations could be considered as well.  This person will work to develop/maintain project intake, prioritization, Software Development Life Cycle, and project management processes.
 
 
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Overall responsibility for creation, refinement, and maintenance of IT project lifecycle processes.
  • Work with IT management and business unit liaisons to formalize IT project request, prioritization, and approval processes.
  • Develop and maintain IT resource forecasting models and use of those to align IT capacity with requested project priorities.
  • Support continuous improvement of SDLC processes.
  • Assimilate different methodologies such as Agile or iterative development into existing SDLC and Project Management processes.
  • Roll out and training of IT and appropriate business counterparts on new or changed IT processes.
  • Identify improvements to or selection of tools to support efficiency in IT project and development cycles.
  • Partner with Corporate PMO and Business Process teams to ensure alignment in project delivery approach between IT and the business needs.

Job Requirements

College degree in a Technical or related field and 3-5 years professional level experience with 0-1 year supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or 7+ years professional level related Technical experience with 0-1 year supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Technical experience required.

Desired Skills: (3+ years of experience for each of the following)

  • Process development experience
  • Understanding of project and software development lifecycle methodologies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to balance theoretical process ideals and realistic business needs  
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements
  • Experience in communicating and/or delivering training on process or procedural changes
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
