Instructional Designer

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage training projects to complete deliverables within the targeted timeframes required by the business needs; maintain ongoing communications throughout the project with business owners, subject matter experts, project managers and the training team.
  • Facilitate training project meetings and focus groups to assess needs and gather information for training content; conduct train-the-trainers sessions to prepare trainers to facilitate training sessions using the materials developed.
  • Evaluate training solutions to measure their effectiveness in meeting the business needs (performance objectives).Provide coaching and mentoring for instructional designers and other training department members.
  • Contribute to the training department’s collective knowledge and skills in performance development and instructional design through professional memberships, seminars, independent research, and other self-development activities.

  • Advanced PC skills using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience with online development tools such as Adobe Captivate
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Ability to work flexible work hours
  • Willingness to comply with all Windstream policies and procedures

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

College degree and 3-5 years professional level experience with 1+ year supervisory experience for supervisory roles; or 7+ years professional level related experience with 1+ year supervisory experience for supervisory roles; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience required.
