Analyzes requirements to meet demand and performance of products, systems and/or data.  May perform engineering design evaluations including cost-effective utilization of materials as required. May design, develop, test and implement all components, equipment, and software within the functional area of the organization. Applies commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Works on problems of moderate scope. Exercises judgement to plan and accomplish goals. Identifies issues and provides resolution within the work group or to the customer. Normally receives general instruction on routine work and detailed instruction on new projects or assignments.

What is a rotational program? Why is it important?

The rotational program is designed to attract highly motivated and talented individuals with an Engineering background. Under this model, employees are assigned to a succession of engineering related roles, each requiring

immersion into the network and operations of each particular organization’s practices and procedures as well as providing exposure to the organization’s management. In accordance with Company policies, after a period of time, these employees

are eligible to rotate to open positions within Windstream’s Engineering verticals. Engineering leadership positions will be based in Greenville, South Carolina; or Little Rock, Arkansas.

•Provides opportunity to quickly become exposed to a broad spectrum of Windstream’s network operations and senior management.

•Allows for the development of a deep knowledge base of Windstream’s operations that benefit the employee in their current role and as the employee looks for future career opportunities at Windstream.

•Promotes a working environment that encourages creativity and innovation in the identification and communication of operational improvement opportunities, in the development, testing and implementation of new products and technologies, and the day-to-day planning, operating and maintaining of a large, state-of-the-art, nationwide network. 

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master degree in Engineering, Computer Science or other technology related major
  • 3.2 cumulative GPA
  • May 2020 graduate or available to start full-time position by July 2020
  • Reside or willing to relocate to Greenville, South Carolina or  Little Rock, Arkansas
