The Customer Service Technician installs, maintains, diagnoses, and repairs business and residential customer telephone wiring, internet services, and outside plant facilities. The Technician may see an opportunity to cross-sell Windstream products and services during the Technician’s interaction with the customer. This position requires the ability to perceive customer needs and offer products to fit those needs.  Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license, and the ability to respond to after hour call-outs. *Candidate must also reside within a 30 mile radius of the position office location.  

  • Process routine and non-routine assignments
  • Communicate with customers regarding installation/repair
  • Promote and sell company products and features based on customer needs
  • Present and conduct self in a professional manner; promote positive company image to the public
  • Diagnose, clear, and repair outside plant facility troubles
  • Repair minor cable cuts and damage
  • Perform basic central office tasks
  • Operate a variety of tools and devices including test equipment
  • Adhere to safety standards and regulations
  • Safely operate and maintain a clean and organized company service vehicle

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Associate Degree in a technical discipline and 3-4 years technical/telephony experience with 2+ years directly related to the job; or 5+ years of directly related telephony experience, or an equivalent combination of education and directly related telephony experience.
