The Consultant position supports the functions performed by the Operations and OSP teams, specifically providing reporting and metrics for Management. The Consultant is responsible for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly & yearly KPI reporting for Outside Plant Engineering, Broadband Deployment, Operations PMO and any organization supported by Network Support.

•   The Consultant maintains and monitors various systems and processes to ensure accurate, complete, and timely completion of tasks.

•    In addition, the Consultant will:

o    Develop solutions to problems and issues as they arise

o    Develop metrics and reporting for supported groups

o    Data-mining from various data sources

Duties include: 

•    Maintaining accurate records regarding documentation and actions, knowledge and use of internal systems, including Jobtrac and DocuShare, and analysis and reporting of data on all aspects of department responsibilities and other related issues

•    Creating and maintaining accurate metrics reporting within our groups and the groups supported by our team

•    Knowledge and use of internal systems, including Jobtrac, and DocuShare

•    Responsible for the scheduling of the bi-monthly SSP conference call, as well as preparing the agenda for these calls

•    Responsible for monthly SSP damage reporting

•    Maintain current automated reports and Tableau Dashboards

Other Requirements:

•    Use Windows operating system and Microsoft Office software.  Use Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Access with the utmost proficiency

•    Tableau

•    Ability to write SQL queries

•    Build intricate spreadsheets and access databases


•    Advanced skills in creating, reviewing, and analyzing reports

•    Ability to identify root cause and take appropriate corrective action


•    Effectively communicate with all levels of authority both verbally and in writing with minimal supervision

Organizational Documentation: 

•    Respond to e-mails in a timely manner and document work completed. Maintain files and history as required with ability to retrieve for reference at a later date. 

•    Exceed deadlines and workload requirements set and prioritize work according to importance.


•    Provide excellent service to both internal and external customers.  

•    Establish a rapport with regular contacts.  

•    Identify customer's needs and take proactive action as necessary to aid in their success.


•    Train new employees

•    Assist others with their work and answer questions from co-workers as requested

•    Manage goals and results

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:  

College degree and 5-7 years professional level experience with 2-3 years supervisory experience; or 9 years professional level related experience with 2-3 years supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience required.
