Overview

This position will be responsible for the analysis and understanding of all aspects of the SMB product lifecycle to inform creation of strategies that drive increased customer tenure and value. There is a strong focus on driving product units and revenue performance. This will be accomplished by maintaining and enhancing the product portfolio, having a deep understanding of the customer and their needs as well as the competitive landscape.  

Core Responsibilities:

  • Determines customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information.
  • Measure product success (adds, churn and ARPU) against forecasts.
  • Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data; anticipating volume; evaluating equipment, engineering and sales costs.
  • Assesses market competition by comparing the Windstream's small business products to competitors' products.
  • Provides source data for marketing communications by defining product marketing communication objectives.
  • Obtains product market share by working with sales to develop product sales strategies.
  • Works with product development to bring new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses.
  • Understand overall product lifecycle and market landscape; know when to recommend and execute product end-of-life.
  • Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales and go-to-market team.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by establishing professional networks and reviewing professional publications.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Job Requirements

Desired Qualifications:

  • Basic working knowledge of the small and medium business segment
  • Previous product development/management/marketing experience
  • Experience with customer lifecycle concepts and/or retention programs
  • Research and analytics capabilities, with a natural curiosity that drives new queries
  • Solid critical and thinking skills and a drive to explore options for addressing common and complex issues
  • Solid communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to turn data into meaningful insight to inform business activity
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams
MBA a plus, but not required


Minimum Requirements:


College degree and 5-7 years professional level experience with 2-3 years supervisory experience; or 9+ years professional level related experience with 2-3 years supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience required.
