Minimum Requirements:
College degree in a Technical or related field and 5-7 years professional level experience with 2-3 years supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or 9 years professional level related Technical experience with 2-3 years supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Technical experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Cloud Architecture patterns and strategies (including IaaS, PaaS, Security, Compute, Storage and networking)
- Functional knowledge of Infrastructure as Code – Automation using Ansible, Chef, Puppet Powershell, Terraform, etc.
- Knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery technologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to understand complex relationships between components of multi-tiered and distributed applications.
- Strong communications base (Written and Oral)
- Desired certifications: AWS Solutions Architect, Azure, MCSA, MCSE, MCTS, RHCA or VCP.
- Working knowledge/experience with Hyperconverged platforms such as VxRail and Simplivity
- Experience with virtualization technologies including Solaris Containers, LDOMS & VMware (vCenter, vSphere, ESXi, DRS, vMotion, HA, FT, SRM).
Desired Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related technical degree or equivalent work experience.
- 7 years of experience required as a Senior level Administrator/Systems Engineer. Including 4 to 6 years of experience with Windows Server and/or Linux Server administration, including automating installation, performance management, system and application monitoring, patching and other maintenance tasks.
- 3 years of hands on experience with a leading cloud solution (prefer AWS/Azure).
