Job Description

The Analyst II/Sr. Analyst will be responsible for assisting with the management of Accounts Receivable for a complex set of accounts that receive funding from E-RATE and RHC programs.  To effectively assist with the management of these customer balances, employee must be familiar with administrative rules and regulations pertaining to these USAC programs and ensure compliance has occurred.  When A/R risk increases, employee must be able to escalate to the appropriate levels of management.


Responsibilities include:

  • Ability to analyze customer level A/R information to identify accounts with past due balances.
  • Analyze past due A/R data to assess where there is collections risk
  • Determine issues that are creating aged A/R and recommend best course of action to convert balances to cash.  This includes evaluation of complex Government program awards and applications to accounts
  • Work directly with customers to ensure all required paperwork was filed and create a corrective action plan to get A/R balance current
  • Develop and maintain communication and partnership with peers and management
  • Provide feedback at month end to departmental management and Accounting to ensure financial statements reflect the appropriate level of collections risk when issues are identified.

Highly Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with Government funded programs like E-RATE and RHC
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Ability to analyze data to assess root cause and create a corrective action plan
  • Proficient level skills with Microsoft Excel and Access, or other data querying tools
  • Telecommunications billing and process knowledge and experience
  • Knowledge of Windstream systems (ex. CAMS, RevChain)

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:  College degree and 2-4 years professional level experience; or 6+ years professional level related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience required.
