Analyst I/II – Margin Assurance

 Job Description:

Responsible for follow up on research identifying and resolving issues that impact Windstream Enterprise’s Margin.  Works closely with members of the Margin Assurance research team after issues are identified and resolution is determined.  Career path would lead to in depth research on margin issues.   

  • Responsible for proactive follow up for actions on resolving expense/revenue/margin issues as determined by the research team members
  • Ensure that all follow up is accurately represented in the team’s Access Database for monthly reporting
  • Apply knowledge of provisioning, network hierarchy, access expense and consumer billing to follow up on margin issues
  • Interact cooperatively with multiple internal workgroups including Sales, Service Delivery, Engineering, IT, Regulatory and Finance.
Required Skills/Experience:
  • Two or more years work experience in retail billing and/or expense management.
  • MetaSolv/ASAP work experience that includes some understanding of circuit design and hierarchy including on and off-net circuit billing and cost elements. 
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective Interpersonal skills and excellent written/verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize multiple projects.
  • Proven desire and ability to independently increase knowledge and identify ways to improve work efficiency.
Desired Skills/Experience:
  • Understanding of end user voice and data products along with associated billing elements.    
  • Experience with WinCare, Windstream Online, and Razorsight for researching issues.
  • MetaSolv Network Inventory and Provisioning system (aka M6/NextGen, MSS, ASAP, TBS)
  • Experience with Windstream’s RevChain, CAMS and CABS billing systems. 
  • Aginity, Golden (Benthic) and/or TOAD experience
Advanced MS Office knowledge including database skills. 

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:  

College degree and 2-4 years professional level experience; or 6+ years professional level related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience required.
