The Analyst I - Engineering is responsible for obtaining City/County/DOT right of way construction permits to assist in projects to build out the Windstream network, as well as other special projects related to the Outside Plant organization.  


The Analyst I must also process incoming and outgoing Jointuse requests which includes maintaining new pole attachments and pole transfer requests.

This position is perfect for an individual with lots of energy and desire to learn in a very challenging, fast-paced work environment.


Responsibilities:


      • Provide accurate, timely, and concise updates both verbally and written

      • Provide timely and accurate data in written format for recurring and ad-hoc          reporting

      • Analyze data and provide recommendations on appropriate courses of                action.

      • Apply known standards and guidelines to unusual or nonrecurring events,          analyze problems, issues and information to formulate conclusions and              recommendations

      • Communicate daily with multiple levels of authority within, and outside of             the organization

      • Extensive involvement and coordination with outside city/state/county                  entities, as well as internal departments such as Outside Plant          Engineering,  Network Engineering, Windstream Contractors, and Legal      Counsel 

Desired Requirements:
  • The position requires the ability to remain focused and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, performing required duties within specified timelines
  • Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated
  • Knowledge of, and strong aptitude in using Microsoft Access, Word, and Excel are required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
  • A background in utility permit acquisition is strongly desired
  • Telecom experience is desired, but not required

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements: College degree and 0-2 years professional level experience; or 4 years professional level related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience required.
