As a VP of Marketing, you will be responsible for devising and overseeing effective B2B marketing strategies using data-driven metrics to drive targeted promotional offers that deliver sales and revenue growth across micro, mid-tier, and large business segments. This role will define and evolve a foundational market segmentation framework that aligns prospect needs to appropriate product and service solutions and ensures the creation and delivery of the compelling call-to-action messaging via high-impact media and tactics.     This role will place a heavy emphasis on marketing to our micro business customers who are acquired through insides sales and who transact sales through an inbound and outbound contact center as well as an evolving ecommerce site.

 

This leader will work collaboratively with Business Sales and Sales Operations to identify customer opportunities by market and segment and develop offers/programs to reach, nurture and enable opportunity conversion and adhering to established expense budgets. In addition, the individual in this role will work closely with Product management, Pricing, Marcomm, Business Intelligence, Local Marketing/Sponsorships, Digital Strategy, and Sales Operations to define, design, implement, and optimize programs and initiatives and to identify, document and communicate associated KPIs and status.   This role will evolve our tracking of marketing campaigns to ensure we are achieving the best possible return for our marketing investments in terms of MRR sold or MRR opportunity created.    Additionally, the leader will manage our relationships with our outside marketing agencies and third-party vendors.

 

What You’ll Do:




  • Use a data-driven strategy to develop and measure the effectiveness of promotional digital marketing campaigns for our micro-business customers.

  • Develop a continuous pipeline of promotional concepts and campaigns that are available to implement based on the success of previous strategies and collaboration with inside sales group.

  • Prepare presentations to articulate the marketing strategies to the executive team and board as required.

  • Develop and evolve business segmentation strategy and framework and integrate into all relevant market-facing activities.

  • Drive quality leads to Field Sales and increases lead-to-close conversion ratio while defining call-to-action workflows to distribute leads into each of the six regions.

  • Partner closely with Marcomm and Pricing to develop compelling offers and messaging for Business prospects and customers.

  • Develop campaigns to assist with converting customers from legacy products to next gen offerings.

  • Develop market-, segment- and vertical-specific campaigns and initiatives to drive achievement of revenue growth, product adoption, and retention goals.

  • Understand competitive positioning (pricing and messaging) across segments and products and inform market-attack strategies and product roadmap.

  • Partner closely with Sales and Sales Operations to identify and execute new opportunities.

  • Work collaboratively with Pricing, Base Management, and Account Management teams to develop and implement compelling contract renewal and cross-sell/up sell offers.

  • Oversee ROI/KPI analysis of strategies and programs and share findings with Senior Leadership and Sales Channel owners; Eliminate under-performing activities and initiatives.

Job Requirements

Do You Have:

  • Digital marketing experience and the ability to demonstrate success of these campaigns.
  • Ability to communicate marketing strategies and marketing asks to executive leadership.
  • Expertise in the development and implementation of B2B marketing programs and strategies.
  • Experience in B2B Segmentation and offer development.
  • Experience developing competitive assessments and corresponding action plans.
  • Experience in demand generation platforms and activities.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Experience managing budgets.
  • Adept at discovery and mining of secondary data sources to inform business cases and decisions.
  • Experience leading cross functional teams/ task forces to achieve common goals.
  • B2B acquisition marketing experience, preferably in the telecom or technology industries.
  • Flexible travel requirements up to 25%.
  • College degree and 10 years professional level experience with 3-5 years supervisory experience; or 14 years professional level related experience with 3-5 years supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience desired.
