About the Role: This position will be responsible for web development and maintenance in support of all .com properties.  This will include content updates, page enhancements, strategic functional improvements.  It will also entail SEO and SEM optimizations and reporting around performance.

What You’ll Do:

  • Update, enhance and maintain pages, posts, UI/UX and functionality on WE.com
  • Coordinate with other marketing teams to obtain content and plan its implementation
  • Utilize WordPress page builder, modules, themes and plugins to properly implement content
  • Monitor WordPress core and plugins and test/update new versions as necessary
  • Develop child theme templates and modify existing ones
  • Develop landing pages in coordination with Marketing Technology team
  • Assist with maintaining solution architecture documentation
  • Upload, associate and manage digital assets as they relate to products, resource types and categories
  • Analyze SEO performance, report on it regularly and provide insights from analytics to further improve performance, including competitor analysis and competitive keyword analysis
  • Participate in team meetings to gain insights into other teams’ projects and report on yours
  • Participate in cross-organizational projects
  • Act as liaison with vendors and internal teams to coordinate system updates and releases as needed
  • Keep abreast of web technology trends and recommend products/services that would improve the website and web operations
  • Analyze page and content performance and provide to stakeholders as requested
  • Troubleshoot website issues as required 

Do You Have?

  • Telecommunication industry experience
  • Experience programming using a CSS Framework(s) and a JavaScript Framework(s)
  • Familiarity with the Pantheon hosting platform and its various features.
  • Advanced experience using the Advanced Custom Fields plugin and coding PHP to maximize the capabilities of the plugin to create advanced website functionality
  • Experience with back-end web server management (LAMP, phpMyAdmin, MySQL Workbench)
  • Understanding the customer/user journey and how it relates to the flow of the website

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • College degree in a Technical or a related field and 2-4 years professional level experience; or 6 years professional level related Technical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Technical experience required.
  • Experience with WordPress administration and plugin management
  • Experience with Google Analytics
  • Working knowledge of Advanced Custom Fields
  • 2 recent years’ experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
  • 2 recent years’ experience with PHP coding specific to WordPress
  • 2 recent years’ experience with managing a corporate WordPress website, to include installing, configuring, updating and testing plugins, page builders and themes
