About the Role:
We are looking for an innovative and versatile Communications Specialist who is willing to try new things to share the story of our Kinetic Consumer team. You must be fiercely customer oriented. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing communications campaigns at both national and regional levels, while also taking a direct role in media training monitoring and execution, as well as mentoring geographically separated spokespeople. This role requires a strategic professional who can effectively use omni-channel tactics to enhance our brand's presence and reputation. The ideal candidate will have experience with communications campaign planning, employing effective metrics and tactics, internal and external tactics, and will have a deep understanding of the media landscape.
Working with the PR Director, you will work or oversee internal and external opportunities focused on communicating the right message, to the right audience, at the right time, through the right channel. Success in this role requires a blend of creativity, technical skills, and the ability to adapt to changing market dynamics.
What You’ll Do:
• Develop and execute earned media strategies to maximize brand visibility and engagement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets to facilitate positive coverage.
• Work cross functionally (Corporate Communications, Legal, Operations, etc) to align messaging, opportunities, and activities.
• Prepare reports on campaign performance, presenting these to senior leadership as required.
• Develop and implement national and regional media relations campaigns to enhance Kinetic’s reputation across its 18-state footprint.
• Write compelling OpEds, press releases, and other content to communicate Kinetic's mission, services, and value.
• Prepare senior leaders for media interviews, public speeches, and other public engagements.
• Oversee and assess media/content feed formats and delivery, metrics, measurement and tracking methodologies and best practices, and work with technology leadership on opportunities for improvements to distribution strategy.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, competitors, and audience preferences to adapt strategies.
Do You Have:
• Accreditation in earned media, PRSA, IABC, or another equivalent certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field. Significant job experience leading national earned communications campaigns may be a substitute.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in media relations, with a deep focus on PR campaigns, analytics, and content.
• Experience with Internet (ISP), tech or telecommunications.
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful national and regional media relations campaigns.
• Existing and current relationships with telecom, tech, internet trade media.
• Proficiency in using social media platforms for business promotion and engagement.
• Exceptional writing skills with experience in drafting OpEds, press releases, news clips, and other related content. Please provide a portfolio of placed content.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to prepare senior leaders for various public engagements.

Actual base pay for this job will depend on the candidate's primary work location and other factors, such as relevant skills and experience.Serves in a lead role for product development activities related to wireless and/or wireline products or for development of marketing plans/promotions..
