Job Overview:
Windstream is looking for a Cyber Security Data Protection professional to join our team. This role is responsible for the organization's data protection function to govern and enhance compliance with various regulations and best practices. S/he monitors compliance and data practices internally to ensure compliance with the applicable requirements under various data privacy regulations while helping to protect the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of Data. A core function of this position is to interact with multiple teams while utilizing multiple tools execution of processes. The ideal candidate for this position should have significant security experience, excellent networking skills, a strong understanding of information security risks, IT technologies and a passion for the security discipline.
Job Functions:
Understanding and enforcement of security policies and processes
Develops, implements, and matures Privacy-related policy, standards, and processes
Serves as a technical resource for Cyber Security development and implementation projects by utilizing strong subject matter expertise
Communicates and collaborates with multiple lines of business and information technology teams within Windstream to help provide effective solutions
Builds effective relationships with key stakeholders who own and support infrastructure, applications, processes, and operations
Engage in the initial requirements definition for incoming tools, projects, and programs as a SME
Develops project plans, requirement documentation, test plans, change requests and communications to users
Identify enhancements to tools, standards, and processes
Design and coordinate plans to enhance and upgrade cybersecurity solutions
Periodically works off hours to support project schedule or system support
Adheres to all Windstream and IT policies and procedures
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Experienced in application support or other technical IT/cybersecurity discipline
Working knowledge of NIST Cyber Security framework (i.e., NIST 800-53) required
Working knowledge of SOX, PCI, GDPR, CCPA required
Demonstrated analytical/problem solving and project management skills
Ability to conduct research into Cyber Security issues and products as required
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written with keen attention to detail
Self-motivated and directed, with strong time management and organizational skills
Confident and assertive personality, comfortable leading both meetings and work group sessions
Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment
Able to use internal tools to research and gain institutional knowledge
Ability to deliver training to an audience with a wide array of skill sets
