About the Role:
In this role as a Project Manager I/II, you will plan, initiate, and manage projects. Lead and guide the work of technical project team. Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects. Plan project stages and assess business implications. Monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope. 
  • Develop or update project plans for fiber builds and network projects including information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and resources.
  • Manage Software applications deployments and integration.  
  • Create and document new processes and proceed improvements to streamline activities and improve timelines and reduce expenses.
  • Provide executive level presentations to high visibility projects.
  • Manage System Migrations, create supporting documentation, testing and implementation plans
  • Monitor or track project milestones and deliverables. 
  • Confer with project personnel to identify and resolve problems. - Develop and manage work breakdown structure (WBS) of technical projects. 
  • Submit project deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards. 
  • Direct or coordinate activities of project team. 
  • Establish and execute a project communication plan. 
  • Assign duties, responsibilities, and spans of authority to project team 
  • Exhibits strong and general understanding of a variety of data, technologies, and business processes to plan, manage projects, manage risks, and support various technical projects simultaneously. 

Do You Have?

  • Must possess initiative with strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Strong familiarity with project management tools and methodologies 
  • Proven ability to partner with vendors and drive them to meet project timelines
  • Proven experience working across teams to lead and manage projects from inception to completion. 
  • Ability to overhaul and create business processes with a focus on automation opportunities and overall efficiency. 
  • IT experience running daily SCRUM calls.
  • Experience in the following Windstream systems : JobTrac, EPM, Metasolv, Jira, Tableau
  • Expert level experience with Microsoft Applications including Powerpoint, Excel, Visio, Sharepoint
  • Agile Project Management experience.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills - Strong interpersonal, organization, and planning skills  Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers 
  • Must display great attention to detail - Comfortable making presentations and facilitating meetings 
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Possess general understanding in the areas of OSP Construction and Transport Equipment 

Even Better

  • Strong project management and technical skills – OSP Builds and Transport Equipment- Ability to manage multiple priorities and resources in a dynamic environment across various sites, and organize complex information 
  • PMP certification is a plus but, not required

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

College degree and 4-6 years professional level experience with 1-3 years supervisory experience; or 8 years professional level related experience with 1-3 years supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience required.
