Windstream is searching for an experienced and responsible site acquisition professional to be a subject matter expert for the Fixed Wireless broadband team. The position will work with internal employees and contractors to support all aspects of the fixed wireless network.

Primary Duties:
  • Oversee and facilitate the contract analysis and negotiation of agreements, leases, access and utility easements, and amendments as necessary.
  • Manage Site Acquisition inbound and outbound work/documentation related to the development of multiple, Fixed Wireless projects (colocations, new builds, rooftops and relocations).
  • Daily decision making and task/project management to ensure that assigned projects are completed within stated timelines and updates are timely made to related systems and departments.
  • Coordinate execution and storage of agreements by preparing document close out packages, using applicable systems and software, with detailed account of negotiations and business terms.
  • Review contracts to determine ways to optimize costs and define areas of opportunity for more favorable terms for Windstream.
  • Prepare collocation applications required by tower companies and manage the collocation process to completion.
  • Support, record, update and maintain project tasks and project milestones in management tracking systems; upload documents; and maintain accurate files and notes.
  • Track project deliverables, dates and monitor deadlines; provide regular and timely follow ups and reports; and highlight variances as they arise.  
  • Work as part of a team and cross functionally with engineering, legal, risk management, real estate, project management, and sales departments.
  • Must effectively interface and provide support to other local departments such as planning, construction, implementation, and operations.
  • Provide both oral and written reports to senior management of status of deployments.
  • Survey and analyze best practices for techniques and processes.
  • Process and procedure definition and documentation of best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • College degree and/or 2 years equivalent work experience relatedto Fixed Wireless/Network Engineering/technical industry experience or anequivalent combination of education and professional level related experiencedesired.
  • Contract and lease interpretation and negotiation experience aplus.
  • Ability to analyze basic legal documents.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to create and maintain spreadsheets and documents.
  • Must be able to document and present work in a clear and concisemanner.
  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize a variety of software andsystems.
  • Excellent typing and data entry skills.
  • Highly organized and detail orientated.
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and work in a fast-pacedenvironment.
  • Strong analytical, administrative, interpersonal, verbaland written communication skills.
  • 25% or less travel.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
