Job Description:


 Implements all components, equipment, and software within the Broadband Access functional area of the organization. Applies commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Works on problems of moderate scope. Exercises judgement to plan and accomplish goals. Identifies issues and provides resolution within the work group or to the customer. Normally receives general instruction on routine work and detailed instruction on new projects or assignments. 

Work is preformed during the maintenance window, so this is a 3rd shift position working 9:30 PM to 8 AM Monday night through Friday Morning.


Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements: Good understanding of telecommunications industry; good knowledge of one or more engineering disciplines and vendor equipment. Good knowledge of accepted engineering practices. Computer software knowledge to include Microsoft Office,

 

Education and Experience: Engineering degree/certification and 1-4 years’ experience or 4 years’ equivalent related Engineering/Technical experience or a combination of education and related Engineering/Technical experience require

Certificates/ Licenses: CCNA or JNCIA desired


Desired Qualifications: Qualified candidates will possess a developed understanding and working knowledge of data networking, which includes experience with management networks, ATM, DSL, Ethernet, and IP technologies  Preferred skills include the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and operations teams and willingness to manage project based assignments.  Ability to stay current with the economic and technological developments in the industry.



Associate Degree in a technical discpline and 4-6 years technical experience with 4 years directly related to the job and 2 years of digital experience. College hours or a college degree may be substituted for some experience as deemed appropriate.
