Internal Social Community Manager

The objective of this role will be to increase internal communications, create departmental dashboards, create and maintain rich media and content while working to convey the business vision through Windstream’s/CSMB’s internet social platform. This key individual will work with various levels of leadership and collaborate between Windstream departments to act as the subject matter expert on internal business unit communications. This role will also serve as content creator, via traditional or digital content techniques, to deliver messaging in a captivating way. Lastly, this role will serve as copy editor aiding peers, leaders, and departments to craft meaningful communications for the organization.

 
Key Roles and Responsibilities
  1. Work with SR Leadership to fine tune internal communications for organizational employees to drive goal, vision, and mission acceptance and awareness.
  2. Identify, advocate for, and work to promote streams of communication daily for organizational and company consumption.
  3. Create new content initiatives such as blogs, podcasts, or a multimedia series engaging audiences on set schedules such as weekly or monthly.
  4. Build community spaces for various parts of the organization while skill transferring developmental knowledge to aid in design, development, and launches internally.
  5. Work to communicate platform changes and enhancements while strategically leveraging new capabilities to engage internal audiences.
  6. Facilitate platform training classes while serving as a key focal point for questions within the business community.
  7. Create, deploy, and maintain platform standards such as tagging and organizing content, look and feel of internal dashboards, and overall hierarchy layout of business unit spaces.
  8. Analyze and brief leaders on business platform adoption rate and communication content performance.
  9. Track, troubleshoot, and report issues within the platform while partnering with Corporate Communications to debug and communicate work around solutions.
 
Sub Roles and Responsibilities
  1. Writing, editing, and crafting narrative storylines for social consumption while keeping a content calendar to maintain fresh content daily.
  2. Work with business leaders to develop rich presentations, visually displaying performance KPIs and business objectives.
  3. Write, direct, and edit multimedia updates and communications from business unit leadership.
  4. Leverage basic HTML techniques to create unique and engaging environments to the organization up for successful usability and unique identity.
  5. Deploy weekly updates to business unit employees, ensuring organizational employees are kept up to date with the latest communications.
  6. Craft yearly polls to solicit feedback from organization users helping to refine and streamline the user experience within the internal platform. 

Job Requirements

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • 2+ years professional level experience with content management systems (CMS), online databases, and other online “tools”
  • Previous UX/Graphical design experience
  • Passion for and thorough understanding of digital marketing and online capabilities
  • Good analytical skills; the ability to prioritize projects
  • Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Capability to work on simultaneous projects and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong people and presentation skills
  • Ability and desire to think outside the box
  • Ability to work well within a team setting
  • Ability to work independently as needed
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (written & verbal), facilitation, and presentation skills
