About the Role:

Windstream’s Engineer I will be responsible for the designs inter & intra office circuits for a variety of circuit types which are customer or network driven.  Assigns network components required to provision circuits and inventories these assignments in MSS. 

What You’ll Do:

• Team-oriented and works collaboratively to achieve team goals
• Works under minimal supervision and maintains personal workload

• Creates CLR’s for circuit orders
• Works with field as needed for circuit installations and facility assignments.
• Updates MSS records to reflect changes as needed. 
• Contacts necessary Engineering Team when facilities are nearing exhaustion.

• Provides circuit engineering support to internal customers (ie Sales, Marketing, Operations, Project Coordination, etc.)
•  Independently motivated to learn new technologies and business processes.

Do You Have?

• College degree in Engineering or a related field; or four (4)+ years professional level related Engineering/Technical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Engineering/Technical experience required.   
• Project Management Skills
• Knowledge of other engineering disciplines (Outside Plant, Data, Transport/Network, etc.)
• Good communication and willingness to work with the business teams
• Knowledge of system process flow
• Understanding of Ethernet technologies
• Collaborates with team members on technical question and problems

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Requirements: Associate Degree in a technical discipline and 1-3 years technical/telephony experience with 2+ years directly related to the job; or 5+ years of directly related telephony or network operations experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience required.

Desired Qualifications: Ability to stay current with the economic and technological developments in the industry.
