General Summary:

This is a consultant position that will be the Service Assurance Solutions team tasked with automating and optimizing the overall workflow of the SA organization with a focus on systems for customer details.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Define process and standards for automation into automation support systems.
  • Define process and standards for the inventory management system.
  • Manage and improve the customer device life cycle management processes and systems
  • Establish new customer monitoring and proactive ticketing solutions
  • Expected to learn and understand OSS/BSS system interactions related to customer records and services to isolate and resolve process and system gaps causing issues with customer monitoring, life cycle management, and repair automation platforms.
  • Support software developer in building enhancements to support systems
  • Build stories and coordinate the prioritization through business units.
  • Conduct Analytics analysis against automation to opportunities for higher impact.
  • Conduct Stand-up calls with business partners
  • Removes impediments for team on projects
  • Support junior team members in continued education of Windstream systems and process.
  • Occasional Windstream customer-facing meetings will be required when assisting in the development of customized solutions to meet contractual obligations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead assigned projects to remediate issues preventing customer services or devices from being monitored or managed
  • Develop, execute and monitor compliance and life cycle management scripts
  • Assist in design and lead implementation of new customer monitoring solutions; including partnering with product development teams
  • Partner with software developers and provide technical guidance to automate repair processes related to customer service outages and degradations
Preferred Skills:
  • Python, Groovy, SQL, Linux, Shell Scripting
  • Knowledge of Windstream internal systems (Remedy, WinCare CRM, CAMP, and MSS/NGMS)
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodology

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

College degree in Engineering or a related field and 5-7 years professional level experience with 0-2 years supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or 9 years professional level related Engineering/Technical experience with 0-2 years supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Engineering/Technical experience required.
