About the Role: 

We are hiring a dynamic, innovative Trainer to deliver installation and equipment training to our Kinetic Engineering and Construction organization using a variety of training approaches including face to face and webinar delivery. A blended training approach is used to deliver field training on equipment and construction best practices including both Aerial and Underground design principles. The Trainer is responsible for suggesting, developing, and implementing new training approaches as well as identifying and resolving training gaps. This role reports to the Training Manager. 

What You’ll Do:  

•    Plan, develop, deliver, and follow up on new hire training that includes current construction installation and equipment standards and practices. 

•    Deliver field training on buried, underground and aerial equipment, to include working aloft.  

•    Assist in content development by identifying, creating, and maintaining training courses. This includes, but is not limited to, suggesting new projects, acting as a subject matter expert, reviewing, and approving developed training materials and developing and maintaining training materials for the assigned program.

•    Plan, deliver and follow up on leadership training including leadership and performance management skills, goal setting process and tools, coaching, recruiting and interviewing processes, and facilitation and training skills for managers.

Do You Have?

  • Knowledge of telecom systems, construction installation practices, products, and processes.

  • Intermediate skill level of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Excellent coaching skills, strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills, self-motivation, energetic and engaging personality.

  • Ability to develop, facilitate and adapt presentations with a skillful approach to breaking down concepts and tasks into relatable information.

  • Experience using adult learning concepts to deliver training.

  • Determine actual versus stated needs when training requests are made.

  • Attention to detail and ability to take ownership and accountability for assigned tasks.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and conduct productive meetings.

  • Ability to pass working aloft training.

  • Ability to travel up to 25% - 50% and work flexible work hours.

  • College degree and 3-5 years professional level experience; or 7+ years professional level related experience or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience required.

Even Better:

  • Recent Construction Experience in the current or related field.

  • Equipment operator Experience.

  • Recent or Current CDL/DOT certifications.

  • Fiber Construction Engineering (Aerial and Underground) experience.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements: College degree and 3-5 years professional level experience with 1 year supervisory experience for supervisory roles; or 7 years professional level related experience with 1 year supervisory experience for supervisory roles; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience required. This is a safety sensitive position.
