Position Summary:



The Application Support Specialist will be a part of a motivated team that works closely with others to bring a solid "Always On" application experience in our Azure Cloud Deployments to our customers. This includes reviewing system environments, application logs and performance alerts, as well as responding to escalated customer tickets. 





This is a dynamic growing environment which will require learning and employing Azure tool sets as part of the daily Devops routine.





Our Customer Platforms are growing, and in this position, you will be growing with them at the ground floor of supporting and maintaining these applications in concert with the team.







Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:




  • Azure Cloud Infrastructure


    • Networking review and support of the following


      • Front Door

      • Application Gateway

      • Traffic Manager





  • Implement and Review Failover Processes of our cloud-based applications

  • Review application Performance and down time reports in Azure

  • AKS Microservices

  • Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment processes




  • Review/Remediate Application Security Vulnerabilities on Servers




  • Provide technical support for host, application, and root cause analysis, and close coordination with the Development team for application issues

  • Provide proactive preventative and corrective systems maintenance to consistently meet system availability customer service targets

  • Provide superior customer service and satisfaction through responsive user and application support

  • Analyze system logs for host platforms, and application error logs to identify and trouble shoot performance or reliability issues

  • Review Alerting notifications using Dynatrace and Kibana

  • Track Incidents and Service Requests using Cherwell and Microsoft ADO

  • Respond to service outages, tracking system availability, and proactive monitoring to prevent unnecessary down time

  • Additional tasks as required

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

College degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.

  • Windows / Windows Server, IIS, .NET, MS SQL
  • Linux, Java
  • Microsoft Azure technologies
  • Public Cloud deployments of Windows, Linux and MSSQL environments (Azure preferred)
  • Working Knowledge of AKS / Microservices
  • Working knowledge of monitoring toolsets such as Dynatrace and Kibana
  • Automation of fault detection and fault remediation
  • L2/L3 Networking
  • Security processes and procedures
  • High Availability and Geographic Redundancy configurations and deployments
  • Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment processes 
  • Azure Dev Ops
  • Strong application and infrastructure problem solving skills
  • Strong Collaboration Skills
  • Strong Documentation/Process writing skills
  • Strong Communication and organizational kills
